A bit more about me…
I am the founder of Ceremony Matters which provides trainings, conferences, support and mentoring to celebrants and other funeral professionals.
I run Death Cafes, because they are a wonderful, life-affirming way to talk about death.
I am an opera singer, contralto, who especially enjoys singing big German music by Wagner, Mahler and R. Strauss, but I still sing a bit of baroque too. You can find me online, with my baroque group The Frolick, or singing Mahler, on iTunes.
You Deserve to Feel Strong, Resilient and Confident. I’m Here to Help.
Hi, I’m Emma. Over many years I’ve learnt to be ‘me’ and now I can help you.
My pronouns are She/Her. I’m cisgender, straight and 6 feet tall.
My Background and Approach
People look at me and they see confidence, resilience and success. That often surprises me, because these are learnt skills. Don’t get me wrong, I have these things, yes, but it’s not how I started out. I have learnt, over the last 30 years, as a professional opera singer and then through my work as a secular minister and ceremonialist, grief counsellor and hypnotherapist – always exploring, learning, training – that whatever lemons life has given us, we can work with ourselves to get stronger, more resilient and happier. My work is always centred around my client’s way of being – your values, beliefs and life experience. I work collaboratively and flexibly so that you get what you need. I’m a creative person with a trauma-informed, multi-modal approach. Everything I have learnt, from study and books, or from lived experience, I can share with you to help get you where you want to be.
