A bit more about me…
I am an opera singer, contralto. I’ve worked as a soloist on London and International stages and a teacher for more than 30 years. You can find me online, with my baroque group The Frolick, or singing Mahler, on iTunes.
I am the founder of Ceremony Matters which provides trainings, conferences, support and mentoring to celebrants and other funeral professionals. I believe that a funeral ceremony can be helpful and supportive, it can and should reflect the person who died throughout and there is no need for any one-size-fits-all’/generic wording unless that’s what you really want. I believe that everyone deserves an appropriate and meaningful ceremony.
I run Death Cafes, because they are a wonderful, life-affirming way to talk about death.
You Deserve to Feel Strong, Confident and Resilient. I can help
My Background and Approach
I have learnt, over the last 30 years in professional life that whatever life has given us so far, we can still work with ourselves to be stronger, more resilient, improve our performance and, frankly, find life easier, even if things are far from ideal. My work is always centred around my client’s way of being and situation – your values, beliefs and life experience. I work collaboratively and flexibly, both in psychological therapies and in the performing arts. I’m a creative person with a trauma-informed, multi-modal approach to counselling, psychological therapy and voice work. Everything I have learnt, as an operatic soloist on international stages, as a psychological therapist, research Psychology and teaching presentation and communication skills to hundreds of people, I can share with you to help get you where you want to be.
